Creating a Picture-Perfect Fall Aisle for your Outdoor Michigan Wedding

Fall is the most popular time of year for a lot of venues in Michigan, but especially here at Cherry Barc Farm.  This time of year, brings cooler weather, colorful landscapes, and vibrant floral arrangements that is loved by dozens of couples at the farm.  Here's some examples of fall ceremony decorations and themes that we've seen over the last decade that were just picture perfect!

Wedding Arbor

It is tradition for couples to have a wedding arch or arbor especially for their outdoor wedding.  It frames in the space and provides a classic base to decorate in your fall decor.  
We are a huge fan of simple draping and some flowers if your budget allows.  Having a center floral piece allows for a larger look with a smaller price tag.  We would also suggest stacking some apple crates with additional pops of colors through potted plants and/or pumpkins.  Throw those pops of orange in there is it goes with your color scheme, but don't forget- pumpkins come in white, blues and pinks too!

Aisle Decorations

As a bride, you are the person who sees the aisle the least.  Sad, but true, you are the last person to be there on your wedding day, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't make it special.  We tell our couples, "Even though you only stand there for 10 minutes, it'll be hundreds of your most important pictures".  So, let's put some love there.
Fall is so beautiful with the green grass and couples will choose to bring in pops of rich jeweled tones.  This aisle is one of my favorites with the blend of different potted mums and a variety of pumpkin colors and sizes.  Remember, you don't only walk down the aisle, but BACK down the aisle after the ceremony so there's SO many photo opportunities.

 Go Full Blown Theme!

If you're going to have a Halloween wedding- then have a Halloween wedding! Really, embrace all of it!  We were lucky enough to have TWO themed weddings last year and they were glorious.  This bride chose to keep with her wedding colors for the arbor draping which was simple and beautiful.  Her father dressed as a king and her mother a queen, but that was nothing compared to the bride.  I don't know about you, but I dressed as a bride for at least 2 Halloweens when I was little. 

Embrace All the Animals

If you love animals like we do, then maybe Cherry Barc Farm is the right place for your fall wedding.  While we only have 2 black cats (and yes, I do think we need more), we have 9 friendly farm cats that live on the property and LOVE attention.  Wednesday is our cuddliest black cat and is in dozens of wedding photos. Hennifer, our chicken, loves to escort our grooms down the aisle. 
In addition to that, we have a horse, goat, and soon baby lambs that will join the farm for wedding season.
