Personalize

You and your fiancé both have individual taste and hobbies that you can blend into your wedding.  I've seen couples decorate with deer sheds because the groom LOVES hunting.  Another one of my favorites is a bride who did gorgeous water coloring and hand painted flowers on the guest seating chart cards.  Such a beautiful detail that will be remembered by guests, photographers, and of course us, the wedding venue.

You each have a set of parents and hopefully a couple sets of grandparents.  Ask them if they saved any special items from their wedding. One wedding that stands out is a bride who used her grandparents cake cutting set.  It was a small detail, but 8 years later I still remember it from their wedding.  It's likely that you can reuse a cake stand, cutting set, or borrow a veil or watch.  I personally kept my wedding shoes in hopes that maybe one of my daughters would want to wear them- it could be their something borrowed and something blue.

We live in a great time! All the apps are at your fingertips and ETSY exists!  There are so many fun personalizations you can add to your wedding day from napkins to signs to drink menus.  Bonus if you can incorporate a cute sign to hang in your martial home after the wedding.
